What we want...

It is so easy to source teaching material these days - tapes, books, videos etc. and without trying really hard we can have the 'great' teachers of our time in our very own living rooms. As humans we have a tendency to gather like-minded people around us, people who we know are going to give us what we want to hear. This is comfortable. What don't need another 'comfortable' clever ministry idea or thought process, we need the Truth, the Word, the Real Thing, the Living Word who cuts to the very core of our beings - Jesus. As a good friend of mine always says, "The answer to any question is always going to be 'Jesus' or 'Team'."

"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry." (2 Timothy 4:3-5 NIV)
