Home for the Holidays
I am not a huge fan of Christmas. Call me a wet blanket, a spoil sport or whatever you want. It's not that I have a 'Christmas wound'...my childhood experience of Christmas was a very positive and fulfilling one, I just hate all the hype. I hate the fact that people go nuts buying loads stuff that they probably don't even need, and most of the time can't afford. No wonder people suffer from holiday blues.
We will be giving some gifts, mainly to our kids and will probably have a Christmas eve meal for all those who have been silly and crazy enough to hang around Cape Town over this season. Cape Town becomes a nightmare in Dec/Jan - one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world right now. Great living here, a bummer sharing it with the rest of the world. Not a very apostolic mindset is it!?
You however are welcome to visit anytime!
