Blogging Observations...

I have been reading postmodern/emerging church weblogs for about the past two years or so and have been blogging myself for one of the two. I remember, Jordon Cooper's blog was the first blog that I read - before he started blogging he had a resource type website for the postmoderns which I found to be rather fascinating. Soon after that, I started discovering people all over the world who were starting to ask similar questions as far as what church was, redefining church/ministry etc. Real connections were made with real people and I managed to personally connect face-to-face with a couple of bloggers from around the world.

Recently I have been noticing a change in the (my) world of bloggerdom. Maybe it is just me, but it seems like the dust has settled and many of the "emerging church" questions have been "answered". Blogs, once places of much discussion frenzy about church and the Kingdom, have become life journals, week-end event posting grounds and family albums. I must add, I am including myself in this whole deal!

Now, I am not saying that this is a bad deal, I just find it interesting...this "global blogging trend". Have we possibly pitched tent and become far too comfortable? Camped in the backyard of the "emerging church" ideologies, philosophies and methodologies, instead of keeping a keen and obedient ear open for the gentle and quiet whisper of The Lord?

Shoot me straight! What do you think?
