On the Weekend

This blooming hot Friday in Cape Town afternoon calls for desperate measures.... a 'bullet' post.

• Tonight we get together for a braai (Barbie) with Jon, Andrew and Debbie and our dear friends from Pietermaritzburg, Des and Lyn. Des & Lyn are staying with us through till Thursday next week. They shall be spending time amongst the community - they are a real encouragement and blessing to us.
  
• This Sunday we will be connecting with our "new" community - actually, not that new, just vastly different, we have recently sent out 7 people to new communities that have started connecting, and we have seen one family leave!
• We are enjoying the intimacy of a smaller group and are looking forward to connecting on a different level.
• We are hoping not to P our I (See previous post).
• We are hoping that we will be open to the Holy Spirit to lead us in our time together.
  
• Jon is still in love with Leah and they will probably get married. She comes down to Cape Town for 5 days next month and then will be moving down Jan 2005 - much to Jon's delight.
• Leah has just had some teeth removed so now they can't even talk to each other...these are the pressures of a long distance relationship folks!
  
• It's my wife's 30th on Monday. She is older than me by 18 days.
