Oh Bugger!

Yesterday I paid my Doc a visit, I needed to have a few things checked out and I thought it would probably be a good idea now that I am 30!

Anyway, my fear of a high blood pressure was confirmed with a reading of 130/95, it should be around 120/80. The funny thing is there is no real reason why I should have a high blood pressure - I don't drink loads, I don't smoke at all and I am not addicted to liquorice!

I had to go for a Kidney Ultrasound this morning and everything seems ok, at least now I know I have got Kidneys because I was actually able to see them. Apparently your Kidneys can be the cause of a high blood pressure if they are undersized or something like that.

To cut a long and boring story short, I have to go for a daily blood pressure test this week so that they can see how permanent it is and then they will be able to make a more detailed assessment.

At this stage unless they are able to find something that can be sorted out, I may have to be on blood pressure medication for the rest of my life...that of cause being bad news! The good news is I know Someone who is pretty good at sorting out health issues and I have the faith for Him to step in.

Speaking of healing - I remember chatting to Jason Evans about healing when he was visiting with us two years ago. He said that Americans don't believe that God heals anymore and he was real encouraged by the church in South Africa, that they had faith for healing and that healings actually took place....for real and not for the hype and the attention.

Hey, if we don't believe that God heals anymore then we are in serious trouble aren't we!? Last year at one of our church gathering Yo arrived with a cracked bone in her foot and she couldn't walk on it at all. We all prayed for her and God healed her completely right there and then! Needless to say, she want home walking normally...that whole event has had a dramatic impact on their faith on God. Beautiful!
